Schools, businesses, communities and at home! We all can contribute to helping pollinators thrive. No actions is too big or too small. You don’t have to plant a vast garden – even a few pots of pollinator plants on a sunny porch can make a difference! Ideally, plant a variety that will bloom from spring all the way through fall, providing enough food sources to help bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators the food they need to survive year-round.
When possible, choose flowers native to your geographic region, as they are often preferred by the native pollinators that occur there. Also, native plants are typically hardier, so they often require less maintenance.
