Zoo Camps at the Birmingham Zoo are educational and encourage active learning through games, age-appropriate, hands-on science, animal encounters, and nature play! Rich in STEM-based explorations, these camps engage the natural curiosity of a child and allow ample opportunity to practice critical emerging science skills. Learning has never been so WILD!

Spring Break Camp

Join us for Spring Break Camp 2022! Campers will participate in all the Zoo’s signature activities – Giraffe Feeding, Red Diamond Express Train, Carousel, Keeper Chats, and so much more! Spring Break Camps are available to purchase as single days. Members – be sure to contact education@birminghamzoo.comor to receive your 2022 Member Discount Code prior to registering.

Summer Zoo Camp

Looking for a way to keep your child engaged over the summer break? Please join us for Summer Zoo Camp! Zoo Camp is a great way to experience all the Zoo has to offer while engaging campers in age-appropriate content geared toward our mission of inspiring passion to conserve the natural world.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Birmingham Zoo will continue to monitor CDC and Health Department guidelines and may make changes to our Zoo Camp offerings as the year progresses. The Birmingham Zoo Education Department closely follows state, local, and federal guidelines to ensure the safety of campers, staff, and animals. Precautions include face coverings for all staff, enhanced cleaning procedures, and socially distanced programs.
