Group Reservations

camp.elephant tooth.susanCalling all herds, packs and flocks – book your trip to the Birmingham Zoo! All you need is 15 people or more to be considered a group. Being a group will get you discounts on admission and rides, including the train, carousel and slide. After completing the reservation form, we will confirm your visit date. Group reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.

The Birmingham Zoo also offers Discovery Programs to enhance your trip! Discovery Programs are indoors and feature a live animal and a chat from one of our Zoo Educators. Or, you can go on an adventure with a Field Experience where Zoo Educators will take your group to study specific exhibits in depth.

Have older wolves in your pack? We also offer Zoo University for grades 7-12 where Zoo Educators will teach you a variety of topics such as conservation and the different effects on the environment. Whatever you want to do at the Zoo, we look forward to making your group trip the wildest it can be!

All Group Pricing is valid for one transaction/payment per group. Please tell your parents and chaperones that if they would like to receive the group rate, they must pay through your organization for a single payment to be made. Please collect money from any parents/chaperones that are receiving the group rate prior to arriving at the Zoo. We CANNOT accept individual payments from parents/chaperones for either Group Rate, but they are more than welcome to visit the Front Gate for regular admission. Zoo Memberships DO NOT apply towards group purchases or activities of any kind.

Any additional teachers, staff, chaperones or parents who are attending the Zoo with the group will be required to pay the group admission rates. We only allow one payment per group – please coordinate with parents who will be accompanying your group to ensure that all funds are collected by school representatives prior to arrival at the Zoo. As always, special accommodations can be made for special needs groups by calling our Groups Department at 205.870.5230.
