Zoo Snooze

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to stay at the zoo after all the animals are tucked in for the night? Join us for a Zoo Snooze and find out! Our zoo education staff will ensure a fun and educational experience that can only be had at the Birmingham Zoo and will build memories that last a lifetime!

Spend the night at the Zoo! Zoo Snoozes are great for groups, families, and friends to spend special time at the Zoo. Beginning at 7 p.m. with arrival and campsite set-up, Zoo Snoozes include a tour, education activity, and games before bed. Rise with the call of the wild to enjoy breakfast and a special morning experience before the Zoo opens.

This overnight program allows all types of groups to experience the excitement of the Birmingham Zoo after dark.  Zoo Snooze programs are perfect for scouts, church groups, birthday parties, and anyone who enjoys camping (with bathrooms nearby.)

REGISTRATION INFORMATION 

• Registration is per person.
• Registration includes space outdoors for sleeping, tour and education activities, breakfast, and admission into the Zoo on the second day of the Zoo Snooze.Participants will have access to public restrooms throughout the program.
• Tents, sleeping bags, etc. are NOT provided.A limited number of tents are available to rent for a fee of $25 and must be booked at the time of registration. If the tent is damaged an extra fee will occur.
• Zoo Snoozes can accommodate up to 100 people each evening.
• If you would like to book a private Zoo Snooze for your group of at least 20, please email [email protected]for pricing and availability.
• Online registration ends three days in advance of each Zoo Snooze program.

$65 per person (minimum of 20 people)

POLICIES & RULES

• AGE: Guests 5 years old and older are welcome at Zoo Snooze programs. Children younger than five years old are not permitted unless prior written approval has been given by the Birmingham Zoo Interpretation & Engagement Department.
• ACCESSIBILITY: Some of our programs enter areas of the Zoo that may not be wheelchair accessible. Modifications for accessibility can be accommodated. Please contact us with accommodation requests at least 48 hours prior to your program to help us build the best possible experience.
• CANCELLATION: Program registration fees are non-refundable. Requests to reschedule experiences must be received at least two weeks in advance and are subject to availability. Programs missed without prior notification will not be rescheduled. Any program involving animals is subject to change or cancellation by the Zoo based on animal or human safety considerations, including severe weather. Every effort will be made to offer alternate areas or reschedule programs.
• WAIVER: All participants must complete a liability waiver prior to the encounter. Parent/guardian signatures will be required for all participants 18 and under.
