ACTIVITIES
10:00 am – Pollinator Conservation Chat, Brock Cabin in Alabama Wilds
Join our Conservation Manager to learn about how the Zoo provides important habitat for local and migrating pollinators and get some tips for creating your own pollinator-friendly habitat at home!
10:30 am-12:00 pm – Seed Pod Station, Brock Cabin in Alabama Wilds
Get your hands in the dirt and make seed pods to support local pollinators. Take pods home to plant or leave them here to be planted on Zoo grounds.
11:00 am – Bird Ambassador Chat, Henley Lawn
1:00 pm – Bird Keeper Chat, The Aviary
1:30-3:30pm – Birding Basics, The Aviary
Join our education staff to learn the basics of birding and how you can start identifying and tracking songbirds right in your backyard to support conservation!
2:30 pm, 3:00 pm & 3:45 pm – Citizen Scientist Chats
Join our citizen scientist volunteers as they complete their Caterpillars Count! data collection and share how the Zoo provides important habitat to local butterflies and food for migrating and nesting birds.
