Travel to Zimbabwe and Botswana with the Birmingham Zoo

The Birmingham Zoo is sponsoring a trip of a lifetime with an extraordinary expedition to Zimbabwe and Botswana, from April 20 through May 4, 2017.

Participants will discover the magnificent landscapes and unique wildlife of Zimbabwe and Botswana in Africa. On this safari, hosted by the Birmingham Zoo and escorted by Senior Vice President Chris Pfefferkorn, travelers will visit the Matobo National Park and spend nights in luxurious thatched chalets overlooking a waterhole where guests are likely to see a variety of native wildlife. Leopard spotting, visiting the Hwange National Park, Chobe National Park and the beautiful thundering Victoria Falls are among the exciting expeditions on this trip.

“This trip is sure to be an incredible experience, and has the added benefit of seeing and participating first-hand in the Birmingham Zoo’s conservation work with leopards in practice in the Matobo Hills and with the EPIC Kids education program,” said Chris Pfefferkorn, Senior Vice President at the Birmingham Zoo. “Every detail of the trip has been planned, so all you need to do is sign up and pack your bags.”

The Zoo will hold an informational session about this trip at the Zoo Lodge on December 6 at 6pm. Those interested are asked to RSVP to marketing@birminghamzoo.com. For pricing, availability, and more information on this trip and other upcoming trips, please visit www.birminghamzoo.com.
