You’re Invited to the Zoo’s Largest Fundraising Event, ZooGala 2016

On Friday, September 16, the Birmingham Zoo will host its largest annual fundraising event, ZooGala 2016, sponsored by IBERIABANK, a partner of the Birmingham Zoo. This annual affair will be held in the Zoo’s Junior League of Birmingham – Hugh Kaul Children’s Zoo. Guests are invited to mingle and enjoy dinner and dessert by Kathy G. & Company.  ZooGala will have entertainment and stunning décor inspired by an Asian style, exciting attendees about the Zoo’s upcoming Asian Passage Exhibit. The occasion will feature live music by A-Town A-List and jewelry by Empire Diamond Corporation will be for sale. Throughout the evening, guests can look forward to animal walkabouts and greetings. An online silent auction will include a travel package to India, artwork, jewelry, fine wine and dining. Anyone may participate in the online auction before and during the event by visiting the Zoo’s website.

This year’s Chairs are Jennifer Ard, Lindsey Lacey, Colin Mitchell and Kathleen Roth. Lynn Cassady is this year’s ZooGala Advisor. Honorary chairs are Mr. and Mrs. F. Dixon Brooke, Jr. This year the Zoo will offer two ticket levels: $650 per couple or $325 per individual for tickets to the Dinner Party, which starts at 6:30pm, or $300 per couple or $150 per individual for tickets to the After-Dinner Party at 8:30pm. Both levels will enjoy cocktails, dancing, dessert and the silent auction. ZooGala proceeds benefit the Birmingham Zoo’s animal care and educational programs, furthering its mission of “Inspiring Passion for the Natural World.” Guests must be 21 years or older.
