Calling all ghouls and goblins, it’s almost time to trick-or-treat around the Zoo at the annual Hoots & Howls events! We have kept your favorite activities and added several others this year, so get ready for a fun day in costumes.
Join us for the Hoots & Howls daytime Halloween festival of events at your Birmingham Zoo from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the last three Saturdays and Sundays in October (12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27). Sponsored by Publix Charities, at Hoots and Howls you work your way through the new owl hay maze then go find the hidden coyote figures around the zoo in the scavenger hunt. CLICK HERE FOR MAP!
Here is the rundown for each day of Hoots & Howls
- 10:00 – Hoots & Howls area open on Henley Lawn
- 11:00 a.m. – Ambassador Animal show on Gigi’s Porch in Alabama Wilds
- Noon – Spooky Science Experiments on Henley Lawn – NEW
- 1:00 p.m. – Costume Parade and Contest. Meet in the Plaza. – NEW – Followed by Monster Mash Dance Party
- 2:00 p.m. – Ambassador Animal show on Gigi’s Porch
- All Day – Hay Bale Maze near Train Station – NEW
- All Day – Hidden Howls Coyote Scavenger Hunt – NEW
- These activities are all included with your zoo admission.
For $10, you can purchase a Candy Trail wristband that covers the Candy Trail stops along Henley Lawn, as well as unlimited rides on the Red Diamond Express Train and climbs on the Full Moon BBQ Adventure Tower. Tickets just for the Candy Trail will be on sale at the Zoo for $3.95, as well. Purchase your Wristband HERE!
