Starting Saturday, March 21, 2026  – Just in time for Spring Break!

Learn more about the amazing animals and dinosaurs at your Zoo with the daily activities scheduled from March 21 to November 1, 2026. Spring Break at Your Birmingham Zoo is presented by Kroger.  *

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Dino Safari

9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. – Red Diamond Express Train

9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. – Virtual Reality movies

10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Lorikeet feedings

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Contact Yard at Alabama Wilds

10:00 to 11:30 a.m. – Kiwanis Giraffe Encounter

10:30 a.m. – Reptile Feedings/Keeper Chat

11:15 a.m.  – Ambassador Animal Chat – GiGi’s Porch in Alabama Wilds

11:45 a.m. – Cougar Crossing Keeper Chat

1:00 to 2:30 p.m. – Kiwanis Giraffe Encounter

1:00 p.m. – Elephant Keeper Chat

1:30 p.m. – Lion Keeper Chat

2:00 p.m. – Primate/South America Keeper Chat

2:15 p.m. – Ambassador Animals – GiGi’s Porch in Alabama Wilds

*All activities are subject to weather, staffing, facilities, and animal welfare needs. The Splash Pads in the Children’s Zoo area will be open when the weather is warmer between May and September and is also subject to weather. Full Moon Bar-B-Que Adventure Tower will open in mid-April.
