Birmingham Zoo Offers Free Admission to Military and Dependents on the 4th of July!

Your Birmingham Zoo will be open on Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In honor of the holiday, all veterans, active and retired military, including their dependents (up to six) will receive FREE admission to the Birmingham Zoo on Tuesday, July 4th. Proof of valid identification is required for free admission. 

Zoo guests can enjoy seasonal favorites and special activities including the Junior League of Birmingham Hugh Kaul Children’s Zoo and Splash Pads, Giraffe Feedings* at the Kiwanis Giraffe Encounter, rides on the Red Diamond Express Train* and feed the Zoo’s beloved lorikeets in the Lorikeet Aviary* as well as encounters with our Ambassador Animals!  

*All rides and various activities are an additional cost – plus tax and are weather dependent.
