Birmingham Zoo will be open on Monday the 4th of July holiday, from 9am-5pm. In honor of the holiday, all veterans, active and retired military, including their dependents (up to six) will receive FREE admission to the Birmingham Zoo throughout the weekend, Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4, with proof of valid military identification.
Zoo guests can enjoy seasonal favorites and special activities including the Junior League of Birmingham Hugh Kaul Children’s Zoo and Splash Pads, animal encounters at the Coca-Cola Predator Zone, Giraffe Feedings* at the Kiwanis Giraffe Encounter, rides on the Red Diamond Express Train* and feed the Zoo’s beloved lorikeets in the Lorikeet Aviary* as we welcome the summer season!
