Special Saturday Sips Benefiting the Birmingham Zoo

Join the Birmingham Zoo and Pleasure Is All Wine, on Saturday, May 4 from 12pm – 5pm, for a special afternoon of wine tasting to benefit the Zoo’s elephant program! Guests will enjoy a profusion of exclusive wines from some of the country’s top wineries. The event will host a reception with wine samples, hors d’oeuvres, and a photography exhibition featuring renowned wildlife photographer Lindsay Donald.

The event will be held at Pleasure Is All Wine and tickets are $15 per person. Tickets can be purchased before and during the event at the venue on 2152-A Pelham Parkway in Pelham, AL 35124.

All ticket proceeds, in addition to one dollar ($1) of every bottle sold and fifteen dollars ($15) of every case sold will benefit the Birmingham Zoo’s elephant program and conservation initiatives.

Participating wineries include Grassroots Wine, International Wines & Craft Beer, Rush Wines, Alabama Crown, Pinnacle Imports, and Southern Roots Wines. Five (5) specialty wines will be animal and zoo themed.

International Wines & Craft Beer will pour

1pm – 3pm
Rush Wines will pour

  • Southernroots Chardonnay
  • Southernroots Rosè
  • Southernroots Cabernet Sauvignon

2pm –  4pm
Pinnacle Imports will pour

  • Nuvellum Chardonnay
  • Summer in a Bottle Rosè
  • Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir

3pm – 5pm
Alabama Crown will pour

  • Au Contraire Chardonnay
  • Provenance Sauvignon Blanc
  • Provenance Merlot
