Eighth Annual Tails in the Trails at the Birmingham Zoo

On Friday, April 27, from 6:30-10:30pm, the Birmingham Zoo’s Junior Board will host its eighth annual fundraising event, Tails in the Trails, by sponsors BB&T Wealth, Concepts & Associates, Inc., McGriff, Seibels & Williams, Inc., and Progress Bank. Attendees will enjoy live music by Nationwide Coverage, food by a variety of local staples, animal encounters, an online silent auction and a cash bar. Tickets are $30 online until April 27 and $35 at the door on the day of the event. Tails in the Trails will be an evening full of entertainment in the Trails of Africa at the Birmingham Zoo, including a special live drawing by international artist Russ Ronat. This event is for ages 21 and up only. Animal habitats will be closed during Tails in the Trails. Attire is casual.

New this year, guests are invited to enjoy the Tails in the Trails VIP experience. The VIP ticket costs $55 and includes preferred parking, early entry to the event, a complimentary signature drink, and a special opportunity to feed the elephants.

The Birmingham Zoo’s Junior Board strives to increase Zoo membership, assist with events and provide promotion of the Zoo’s overall mission, “Inspiring Passion to Conserve the Natural World.” Net proceeds from the event will benefit a new habitat for the Zoo’s flamingos.

The online silent auction is live now and can be found here. Attendance at Tails in the Trails is not required to participate in the auction.
