Bird Lovers of All Ages Invited to Birmingham Zoo this Saturday

On Saturday, February 17, 2018, the Birmingham Zoo and the Birmingham Audubon Society are teaming up for a day sure to excite any bird enthusiast. The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual event that unites birdwatchers from across the globe as they track bird species found in their own backyards, parks and local spaces.

Participants will be able to hear bird watching tips from Birmingham Audubon Society experts and take part in bird conservation activities in the Birmingham Zoo’s Junior League of Birmingham – Hugh Kaul Children’s Zoo and Alabama Wilds. Participants are invited to take part in the bird walk from 8am-10am on Saturday and afterwards enjoy crafts and activities from 10am-2pm.
