Birmingham Zoo Supports Community with Food Drive

The Birmingham Zoo invites the community to give back to those in need this holiday season. On Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19, Zoo visitors can enjoy half-price admission by bringing any canned or non-perishable food item. On this particular weekend, guests who donate a food item to the United Way Food Bank will pay $8 (plus tax) for adults, $7 (plus tax) for senior citizens 65 years and older, $7 (plus tax) for military, and $5.50 (plus tax) for children 2-12 years old. Children under age two are free. The Zoo requests that visitors bring one item per person to receive the discount.
