All New! Pirate Train Ride at the Birmingham Zoo

Set sail on an exciting adventure this spring and summer as pirates take over the Zoo’s Train Ride!

The new Pirate attraction on the Red Diamond Express is comprised of legions of realistic, life-size, animatronic swashbucklers. Entertaining as well as inspiring, the Pirate Train Ride is designed to send an important message about water conservation brought to you by Shipt Grocery Delivery. Various animal figures, including Komodo dragons, gibbons, parrots, snakes and more add to the magic of the Pirate attraction.

The Zoo is offering a special free Member Preview of the Pirate Train Ride on Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5 from 8-10am for Zoo Members. Those interested in becoming a Zoo Member can take advantage of a $20 discount through May 15, 2017 with the promo code Pirate20Spring2017. This code cannot be combined with other offers.

The grand opening of the Pirate Train Ride will be on Saturday, May 6 from 9am-2pm. Visitors are invited to enjoy the new Pirate Train Ride, live pirates strolling the Zoo, free eye-patches, tattoos, crafts, $1 hot dogs, keeper chats, photo opportunities with the Macaws and more! The pirate train ride is $3.50 per guest, per ride. Unlimited ride wristbands are available for purchase for $10.
