The Birmingham Zoo Offers Free Admission to All Active and Retired Military and Veterans in Honor of Veterans Day

In honor of Veterans Day, all active and retired military, veterans and their dependents will receive free admission to the Birmingham Zoo on Monday, November 9, Tuesday, November 10 and Wednesday, November 11. The Zoo is excited to be able to expand the offer this year to include veterans and their dependents. To be eligible for free admission, guests must show proof of military service by presenting a valid military identification card, dependent identification card or driver’s license with veterans designation on the front. Veterans Day activities include a chance to see the Zoo’s two rescued American black bears in the all-new Barbara Ingalls Shook Black Bear Trail, up-close interactions with elephants at the Boma Yard in Trails of Africa and exciting sea lion training demonstrations. Guests can ride the train* and carousel* and much more. *Additional cost.
