Visit the Birmingham Zoo for Farm Day

On April 11, the Birmingham Zoo invites the community and their families to take part in Farm Day from 10am until 2pm. This fun-filled educational celebration of Alabama’s farming heritage will be held in the Junior League of Birmingham – Hugh Kaul Children’s Zoo. Farm Day is a community-focused event to celebrate the agricultural history of Alabama with a special emphasis on Birmingham Zoo farm animals. Guests will have the opportunity to see a sheep shearing, participate in an agriculture themed trivia game, observe a hoof trimming demonstration and more. Booths from Alabama 4-H, Alabama Farmers Federation/Alabama Young Farmers, local farmers and local agricultural groups will be onsite to give guests the opportunity to learn about farm tools, agriculture and local farming opportunities.
