Birmingham Zoo’s Groundhog, Birmingham Bill, Set to Make His Prediction on February 2nd

Will there be six more weeks of winter, or will we have an early spring? The entire community is invited to come watch the Zoo’s very own meteorologist answer that question. If Birmingham Bill does not see his shadow, that means an early spring! If he does see his shadow, that means Alabamians must endure six more weeks of winter.

Visitors can come early to vote on what they think Birmingham Bill will decide, enjoy coffee and hot chocolate provided by Red Diamond (while supplies last), play Woodchuck Chuck Toss, create a paper bag groundhog and get a recipe card to make groundhog cupcakes or pudding at home. The Wildlife Show will start immediately following Birmingham Bill’s prediction. Visitors can also take advantage of a photo opportunity with Birmingham Bill after the show.
