The Birmingham Zoo invites the community to give back to those in need on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. All visitors can enjoy ½ price admission Monday, January 21st by donating a non-perishable food item to the Zoo in support of the United Way Canned Food Drive. This particular day, guests who donate a food item can enjoy the Zoo for only $7 (plus tax) for adults, $4.50 (plus tax) for senior citizens 65 years and older, and $4.50 (plus tax) for children 2 – 12 years old. Children under 2 years old are free. The Zoo requests that guests bring one item per person to receive the discount.
