Capital Campaign

Your Zoo’s $18.6 million capital campaign is building a new front entrance, plaza and park area. Our next phase will create a new, 2-acre Asian Passage exhibit, addressing the critical need for renovation of the existing (60 year old!) Predator Building. We need your support to build the new Asian Passage!

The New Asian Passage

Alarming estimates indicate that there are only 250-340 adult Malayan tigers left in the world; due to a 93% loss of its habitat and because this population includes only 250 mature breeding tigers, a declining trend makes them critically endangered. Nine subspecies once ranged widely through Asia, but in the last 70 years, three have become extinct. The Malayan tiger habitat will be enlarged, and will include an interactive feature so guests can see – up close – the keeper-animal relationships. Additional habitats will include those for our Komodo dragon, red pandas, fishing cats and other Asian species. Help today, to build your Zoo’s Asian Passage!
