Panthera tigris jacksoni
Males and females only get together long enough to mate. The female takes care of all the cubs. She introduces them to meat at 2 months and by 18 months of age they hunt by themselves. The cubs stay with their mother until they are 2 or 3 years old, then they find their own territory. In the wild, they dedicate a lot of their time to hunting and can eat over 60 pounds of meat in one sitting.
