Groundhog Day Celebration

Will there be six more weeks of winter or an early spring? If Smith Lake Jake does not see his shadow, that means an end to winter! If he does see his shadow, that means Alabamians must endure six more weeks of winter.

See the answer for yourself as he emerges to make his annual prediction at the Zoo's Wildlife Stage. Coffee and doughnuts will be available for guests.

President’s Day Camp - Animal Ambassadors

Campers will explore the world through the animals that live there. Visit Australia with the kookaburra and Asia with our Indo-Chinese Tiger. Throughout the day, campers will explore the zoo, make a craft, and participate in a tour. Campers will meet animals from around the world during our animal demonstrations. Register Online
