July 29
9:45 am – 4 pm
Wanna see a tiger eat a popsicle? See how we keep life exciting for the animals during the lazy days of summer with frozen treats, puzzle feeders, and more. Ask our expert keeper staff about our enrichment program, then experience firsthand what its like to be your favorite animal – see what its like to hunt like a tiger, search for food like a spider monkey and try to solve a puzzle feeder just like an animal! Fun activities for kids and the young at heart throughout the day!

Addition!Be sure to welcome Samuel, the Zoo's second zebra born in 2006!
On the morning of July 13th, zookeepers arrived to discover a 78 pound foal in the African Savannah exhibit. His mother is one of the Zoo's female Plains Zebras, Milia
(mil-LAY-ah).
The new zebra is healthy and growing every day. His older brother, Jackson, was born in March to mom, Bodine. Jack is their father.
Plains zebras are one of three zebra species and are native to Africa. This herd animal’s stripes confuse predators, making it difficult to single out a zebra.
