What a great way to spend Father's Day weekend with dad!

Get up close and personal with some humongous reptiles! Every year, the Zoo takes a day to measure and weigh the largest snakes in our collection – anacondas, reticulated pythons and more. Visitor participation is required for this big task!

Kangaroo Kountry Now Open!
G’day mate! We have new animals from the Land Down Under at the Birmingham Zoo! Located near the Lorikeet Aviary, this immersive exhibit is home to several red and grey kangaroos, wallabies, and a variety of reptiles, birds and amphibians native to Australia.

Kangaroo Kountry, presented by Birmingham Coca-Cola Bottling Company, combines the animals, culture and fun of Australia and brings it to you! So whether you’re a bloke, a Sheila, or a little joey, hop into Kangaroo Kountry soon! Hooroo!
