Support the Zoo Through the Birdies for Charities Program

Charity begins on the golf course at the Regions Tradition! You have the opportunity to make the Birmingham Zoo a big winner by participating in Birdies for Charities. The Zoo will receive every single penny of the donations generated on its behalf. Simply make a pledge of $0.02 or more per birdie or make a flat pledge of $15 or more.
You also have a chance to win great prizes when you make a donation. The Regions Tradition will have weekly giveaways every Friday for all donors with great prizes such as restaurant gift certificates, tickets to local sporting events and even a $1,000 gift certificate to Diamonds Direct.
The top 10 charities that raise the most money will receive Red Diamond “Bonus Bucks,” with the top charity receiving $10,000 from the Regions Tradition.
Please help make the Zoo the top charity by pledging here.
You can also make your pledge by printing this pledge card and mailing it to:

Contribute to the Endowment Fund
The Zoo’s Endowment Fund will ensure the preservation and growth of our Zoo for future years to come. Currently, 10% of all capital contributions go to our Endowment Fund, unless directed otherwise. If you are interested in making a gift to our Endowment Fund or leaving a lasting legacy for future generations, please contact the Development Office at 205.397.3856.
Planned Giving
The Zoo helps to create memories everyday. People also leave an impression or memory of his or her life with others. Donors make an impression on the community through gifts, volunteer work, membership and participation in special events.
Another means of making a lasting impression is through thoughtful estate planning. When you include the Birmingham Zoo, Inc., a 501 c (3) organization, in your estate plan you are leaving a lasting legacy to our community. An estate gift can provide needed funds to maintain existing operations, expand international species survival research, establish an education center, purchase animal provisions or build a playground.
