Saturday Classes

The Fall Class Schedule is now available. Sign up today! Classes often fill quickly. Online Registration is available. Only available classes will appear on the online registration.

Refund/Change Policy: Refund request or class changes must be requested a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the class date. We will be unable to give any refunds or make any changes once the deadline has passed. A $5 processing fee will be retained for each refund request. Credit for classes must be used within the current semester and may not be transferred to future semesters. Students will not be able to make up any classes missed. We are sorry but are unable to many any exceptions.

Children 6 months - 2 years:

Babes in the Zoo

This class is for children 6 months to 2 years of age. This is a fun class to introduce children to the experience and wonder of animals in a safe environment. Appropriate live animals and Biofacts will be used. All animals listed subject to change.
A parent/caregiver must stay with their student.

Class Times:
Tuesdays 10:00 -10:30 or 11:00 -11:30 or 1:30 - 2:00 or Wednesdays 10:00 -10:30 or 11:00 -11:30

Cost: $6/student/class for members or $10/student/class for non-members

Children 2 to 3 years:

Zoo Tots

For children 2 and 3 years old. It is a fun intermediate class that introduces children to animals and the zoo in a classroom environment. Time will be spent in the classroom and in the zoo while listening to stories, playing games, and learning about the animals. Live animals and Biofacts will be used. A parent/caregiver must stay with their student.

Children 3 to 5 years:

Critter Club

These fun 1 hour long classes are for children ages 3, 4, and 5 years old. Each class covers different animal topics and may include crafts, games, stories, songs, and information about the animal. Live animals, Biofacts, and a tour to learn more about the animals may be included. Parents are not required to stay with their children for this class.

Tiger Tales

This 2 hour long class is for children ages 3, 4 and 5 years old who want to stay a little longer at the Zoo and is designed for preschoolers (who are potty trained). In each class students will explore different animal topics, listen to a story, make a craft, go on a train or carousel ride, and do fun activities. Live animals and Biofacts will be used. Parents may not stay with their children for this class.

Class time: Friday 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Cost: $16.00/student/class for members or $20.00/student/class for non-members

Tiger Tales Class Schedule:

These art classes are designed for children 4 & 5 years old. Children will be introduced basic drawing and painting skills and be given the chance to express themselves creatively. They will look at live animals in the classroom or on exhibit, and create images of these animals. Parents may not stay with their children for this class.

Class Time: Tuesday 1:30 pm - 3 pm or Thursdays 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Cost: $14.00/student/class for members or $18.00/student/class for non-members

Saturday Art

Learn to develop basic drawing and painting skills with animals as your centerpiece. Live animals may be brought to the classroom or students may go see animals on exhibit. Parents may not stay with their children for this class.

Animal Explorers

Come to the Zoo and learn about your favorite group of animals in one of these fun classes. Each class is an hour and a half long and includes time in a classroom with animals visitors and time in the Zoo. Each child will complete a booklet that they will be able to take home. Parents may not say with their children for this class.
