Come learn about the variety of diets our animals at the zoo have. Each day the campers will help make a new enrichment item for a different species of animal in the zoo. Animals such as Spider Monkeys, Tayras, and Turkeys are just a few of the animals that these special treats will be made for (other animals may be substituted as the animal department schedule requires). Campers will watch the zookeepers give their Thanksgiving treat to the animals and learn why enrichment is such an important part of an animal’s training. There will also be a tour of the Animal Nutrition Center where they prepare the food for over 700 of our Zoo animals! Campers will tour the zoo, feed some animals and even ride the train and carousel as weather permits to see how the new Trails of Africa construction is going!
