Wear your favorite costume for the 16th Annual Boo at the Zoo presented by Bruno's/Food World! Make your way through safe trick-or-treat & game zones, organized by local non-profits and child-centered businesses. Ride the Haunted Train and Ghastly Carousel! Check your appetite at the GORE-may Buffet, see an animal up close at the Harry Potter Alabama barn and be sure to check out the new Slytherin House in the reptile building! Enjoy the Planet of the Apes Experience in the primate building.

Special appearances by mischievous Max from Where the Wild Things Are on October 13th and October 19th from 5 to 6 pm. There will also be special appearances by Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, King Arthur, Harry Potter and many more characters for a one of a kind Halloween photo! Animal exhibits will be closed for Boo at the Zoo.

The Zoo will close at 4 p.m. on each day of Boo at the Zoo.

All Things Magical Weekend
Join us for a celebration of all things magical! Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and King Arthur characters abound! BIG Barbarians and powerful wizards, even some fairies may be seen. Celtic dancers and bagpipes will be joined along with some wandering Minstrels. There will even be magic tricks!

October 19-21st
5 to 9 pm
A Galaxy Far, Far Away…
Join us for all things space! Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galatica, Firefly characters, to name a few, will be throughout the Zoo. Battles will take place between The Empire and the Rebellion, plus Klingons and the Star Fleet. A Star Wars Band will perform throughout the weekend.

October 26-28th
5 to 9 pm
Things That Go Bump in the Night
Join us for a traditional weekend of ghouls, goblins, ghosts, werewolves and vampires. Kid friendly, of course.
