Camp Details

All Full-Day camps are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

You may register on-line for your first week of camp. Just go to www.birminghamzoo.com click on the education tab and you will see the camp link there. We are also offering multiple week camp discounts for campers who attend a second or more week of camp. To be able to receive this discount for registering for multiple week camps, please call our camp manager at 397-3877. Please see camp costs listed below. All camps are priced on a weekly basis.

Summer Camp is a great time to meet new friends, be outdoors, be inside and work on projects and crafts, and have time to ride the train, carousel, and play in the fountains. Fountain day will be announced by the teachers. We provide a mid-morning snack (no peanut products) and a drink. We encourage parents to send campers with a water bottle.

All camps are taught by certified school teachers, student teachers, or other adult staff with backgrounds in science and children. Full-Day camps are separate camps from half-day camps. Camper buddies must be in the same camp type to be able to be placed together (not guaranteed). Camp classes are divided into groups of about 12 campers per teacher and are grouped according to age and grade. Campers may bring or purchase lunch. Aftercare is a purchase option for this camp (3:30 pm to 5:30 pm) and is on a first come first served basis. Lunch and aftercare may be purchased on-line.
