The Zoo’s newest exhibit, Dino Discovery presented by Wells Fargo, will give you the opportunity to hear dinosaurs roar, see them move and take in a pre-historic experience like no other. Featuring 15 life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs, some at heights of almost 20 feet, Dino Discovery will take you on an expedition down a trail filled with magnificent creatures that once roamed the earth over 160 million years ago. Search for fossils in the Dino Dig, learn from a dino expert and even get your picture taken with a T-Rex.
Once you’re in the Zoo, explore Dino Discovery for only $3 (plus tax) for members, $5 (plus tax) for non-members, or you can purchase an unlimited attraction wristband for only $8 (best value).

Birmingham Zoo’s Photo and Social Media Contest – Dino Discovery Giveaway
Dinos are in town! Be on the lookout for the Dinosaur Egg near you. If you find the Egg and take a picture with it, you can submit the photo to enter a drawing to win prizes like a Zoo Behind-the-Scenes Tour, Family 4 Pack of Dino Discovery tickets or a Dino Discovery Fun Pack. The Egg will make appearances at local YMCAs and libraries until July 15th. Make sure to follow the Zoo on Facebook and Twitter to track the Egg.
